I recently started looking for music for my wedding video and absolutely love 'Mori Atariya' and 'Sawan' but can't for the life of me find english translations to understand the lyrics....
Please could you be so kind as to post the meanings? For me and all fans out there?
I must say i really love your name - it has a wonderful meaning!
Here is a very short synopsis of what the two songs are about. I hope that helps...
There is a saying in Indian culture that when a crow sings near your house it is a sign of good fortune. In this love song she sees it as a sign that her lover is returning home
This is a song about the romantic monsoon season and how she longs for her lover.
Hello Mr. Chang, I know you have been asked before about the "Simon Schama's Power of Art" soundtrack but there was no update about it. I was wondering if it would still be possible to buy or access the music on the certain soundtrack. I appreciate it and good luck! (love your music)
Thank you for your message. Im sorry for not updating you regarding the music.
Ive not yet managed to find the time to release the music. I do hope to one day put together an album of the music featured in the series but it does take time to organise the session files from such a long time ago.
I will make a note to message you if i do manage to get it released.
Sawaan is a song about longing for ones lover and the pain of separation felt by her whilst he is away.
I hope that is helpful and congratulations on your wedding :)
Firstly I'd like to compliment your work having watched the BBC program "World's Busiest Railway". The soundtrack at the start really captured my imagination and attention; helping to make the program even more exciting.
Does the intro soundtrack to the documentary have a name and is it available to listen to in full please?
The piece at the start is actually the pre-title music. It is an overview of the programme. The music hasnt been made available publicly but i do have one of the pieces on my souncloud. See link below:
Thanks for your question. Sheet music was never commissioned for the POA series so sadly isnt available to purchase. Ill keep you updated should that ever change though.
"Bangles" has been one of my favorite songs ever since I first heard it in '07, and I only just recently found a transliterated version of the lyrics (despite much searching; hope they're correct: https://www.musixmatch.com/lyrics/Niraj-Chag/Bangles). Before then, I had to try and do up a phonemic approximation (if that's what you'd call it)... and I know NOTHING about Punjabi phonology.
Long story short, I was wondering if you have a version written in Gurumukhī? Just to complete the set.
Unfortunately a Gurumukhi version was never written.
Gurumukhi is a beautiful language and your idea is very interesting though!
Thank you for your email! Im really pleased that you enjoy my music.
Unfortunately we have never printed sheet music for any of my albums.
If that ever does change and we do a print run then you will be the first to know! :)
I used to be ticklish as a kid but now i have found a secret technique to control it. Im like a Jedi! ;)
Thank you for your kind words Penny! No performances planned for this year but a new album is coming soon. :)
Thanks for your message! Im really pleased that you enjoyed the POA score. I had a wonderful time working on it. I am developing some of the pieces from my previous scores into an album and i will certainly keep you updated with any future release plans.
All the best,
